12 Mar Our EVOO “1 Día de Cosecha – Agatha Ruiz de la Prada”, among the best of IberOleum 2026 in minority varieties.
We are very proud to share great news for Señoríos de Relleu. Our AOVE 1 Día de Cosecha – Agatha Ruiz de la Prada has been selected among the best Extra Virgin Olive Oils in Spain in the IberOleum Guide 2026, within the category of Minority Varieties.
This recognition fills us with satisfaction because it values the work done throughout the year in our olive groves: the care of the field, the early harvesting of the olives and a careful elaboration in the mill to obtain oils of the highest quality.
IberOleum 2026: one of the reference guides on EVOO
The IberOleum Guide is one of the independent benchmarks in the evaluation of extra virgin olive oils in Spain. In this edition, nearly 400 samples have been tasted by a professional panel of experts during five intense days of sensory analysis.
Each oil has been evaluated according to strict organoleptic criteria such as:
- Fruity
- Balance
- Intensity
- Complexity
- Harmony
- Absence of defects
After this demanding process, the tasting panel selects the best rated oils in different categories that reflect the diversity of the Spanish olive grove.
IberOleum guide categories
The oils selected in IberOleum are classified into several main categories:
- Intense fruitiness, where aromatic power and persistence stand out.
- Medium fruity, characterized by its balance and elegance.
- Minority varieties, true jewels of the olive oil heritage that help preserve varietal diversity.
- Small productions, limited elaborations where care and craftsmanship are the protagonists.
Our 1 Day Harvest – Agatha Ruiz de la Prada oil has been recognized precisely in the Minority Varieties category, a category that is especially important to us because it reflects the value of preserving and working with traditional varieties.
A recognition of the territory and biodiversity
Behind every bottle of Señoríos de Relleu there is much more than oil. There is:
- Territory
- Biodiversity
- Agricultural tradition
- Innovation in processing
- Passion for olive oil excellence
This recognition confirms that the effort to produce high quality, sustainable EVOOs with their own identity continues to bear fruit.
Thank you for trusting in our project
We would like to thank all the people who are part of this journey: farmers, collaborators, customers and lovers of good olive oil.
Thanks to your trust we can continue working to improve each campaign and take the name of Relleu and our AOVEs further and further.
The IberOleum Guide 2026 will be published very soon, where the scores and sensory descriptors of the best rated oils of the year will be collected.
In the meantime, we continue doing what we know best: caring for our olive trees and producing exceptional extra virgin olive oils.
