At Señoríos de Relleu we continue to receive international awards that endorse the quality and healthy properties of our extra virgin olive oils. On this occasion, our exclusive EVOO “1st Harvest Day by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada” has been distinguished in the prestigious WBHEC – World Best Healthy EVOO Contest 2025-2026, one of the most demanding international competitions focused on the healthy composition of extra virgin olive oils.
Our oil has achieved the 7th position in the world ranking of the best healthy EVOOs, a recognition based on scientific parameters related to nutritional quality, fatty acid balance and the concentration of bioactive compounds beneficial to health.
Among the best healthy extra virgin olive oils in the world
The WBHEC competition evaluates the oils on the basis of analyses carried out by approved laboratories, assessing in particular:
- The balance between saturated and unsaturated fatty acids.
- Total biophenol content.
- The concentration of oleocanthal, one of the most studied antioxidant compounds in extra virgin olive oil.
Thanks to these results, our EVOO has managed to enter the exclusive TOP 10 of the world’s healthiest olive oils, competing with producers from countries such as Greece, the United States and Spain.
No. 2 in the world in Biophenols
In addition to this important global recognition, our 1st Harvest Day by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada has reached the second position worldwide in the Biophenols category, ranking among the oils with the highest concentration of these natural compounds.
Biophenols are antioxidants naturally present in extra virgin olive oil and are associated with numerous health benefits, especially protection against oxidative stress.
No. 5 in the world in Oleocanthal
The recognition does not end there. Our oil has also achieved the fifth position worldwide in the classification of Oleocanthal, one of the phenolic compounds most valued by the scientific community due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
This result confirms the extraordinary health potential of our EVOO and the excellent quality of the olives selected for its production.
