we\u2019re kicking off the new season with some news that we\u2019re especially excited about: two of our extra virgin olive oils have been selected to be included in the first edition of the 2026 Guide to Extra Virgin Olive Oil of the Valencian Community, produced in collaboration between the Valencian Regional Government\u2019s Department of Agriculture, Water, Livestock, and Fisheries and IberOleum.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This publication was created with the aim of highlighting the quality, varietal diversity, and work of farmers and olive oil mills in the Valencian Community, showcasing some of the most outstanding EVOOs submitted for the 2026 selection.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">37 EVOOs selected from 62 samples<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">According to the guide itself, 62 oil samples were submitted for this edition, and the 37 EVOOs with the highest scores were selected.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The selected oils are divided into three categories: 1 EVOO in the Intense Fruity category, 25 in the Rare Varieties category, and 11 in the Small-Scale Production category.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For Se\u00f1or\u00edos de Relleu, it is a great honor to be included in this selection with two of our olive oils\u2014and in two very different categories that perfectly reflect our production philosophy.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1 D\u00eda de Cosecha by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada: 9.50 points<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Our 1 D\u00eda de Cosecha EVOO by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada has been included in the &#8220;Minority Varieties&#8221; category with a score of 9.50 points.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This recognition holds special significance for us, as it highlights one of the fundamental pillars of Se\u00f1or\u00edos de Relleu: working with different olive varieties and creating blends with a distinct character.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The oil is listed in the guide as a blend produced in Alicante and made by Se\u00f1or\u00edos de Relleu, with a stated annual production of 1,500 kg.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This selection joins the various accolades that 1 D\u00eda de Cosecha by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada has been receiving throughout 2026, both for the quality of its EVOO and for its distinctive packaging.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a presence in the guide is rounded out by our Intense EVOO, which received a score of 87.2 points.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The guide itself lists only one EVOO in the \u201cIntense Fruity\u201d category, which makes this selection a particularly significant recognition for our Intense.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This is a blend produced in Alicante, with an annual production of 4,000 kg as listed in the guide.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Its profile reflects our commitment to EVOOs with greater character, #000000;\">A guide to showcasing the richness of Valencian EVOO<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The 2026 Valencian Community EVOO Guide was also created as a tool to showcase the richness of our region\u2019s olive groves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The foreword highlights that the Valencian Community has more than 90,500 hectares of olive groves and a significant variety of olive cultivars, with 74 identified varieties, many of which are historically linked to small territories and very specific growing areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It is precisely this diversity that is one of the core values we uphold at Se\u00f1or\u00edos de Relleu.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">From our mountain olive groves in Alicante, we work with different varieties\u2014many of them traditional and rare\u2014striving to ensure that each EVOO reflects the character of our Mediterranean landscape.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">From the Olive Grove to the Excellence of EVOO<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The presentation of the guide was accompanied by the technical conference \u201cFrom the Olive Grove to the Laboratory: Keys to Excellence in EVOO,\u201d held on September 17 in Valencia and organized by IberOleum in collaboration with the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Water, Livestock, and Fisheries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The conference addressed various aspects related to the quality of extra virgin olive oil, ranging from the management of olive varieties and olive groves to the production of premium extra virgin olive oils and the role of the laboratory in quality control.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This is a vision we fully share at Se\u00f1or\u00edos de Relleu: the quality of a great EVOO begins in the field and continues through every stage of production.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Two EVOOs, two profiles, and the same philosophy<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The &#8220;1 D\u00eda de Cosecha&#8221; collection by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada and Se\u00f1or\u00edos de Relleu Intense reflects two different ways of enjoying extra virgin olive oil, yet both are rooted in the same philosophy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Olive grove management, fruit selection, meticulous processing, distinctive varieties, and a strong connection to our region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For the entire Se\u00f1or\u00edos de Relleu team, being included in the 2026 Guide to Extra Virgin Olive Oil of the Valencian Community represents yet another recognition of the work we do year-round at our estate
